Alex grew up supporting her father during endurance competitions. She has watched countless Ironmans, half marathons, and marathons, and it is now her turn to participate. Alex will be running on behalf of her grandfather, Gordon Petrie, who fought ALS for seven years. She is excited to not only achieve her personal goal of running a marathon, but to help raise money to find a effective treatments for ALS.
