Target ALS Has Been Named an Official Charity Partner for the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon

We are proud to announce that Target ALS has been named an Official Charity Partner for the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon, which takes place on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

Target ALS Founder, Dan Doctoroff, was instrumental in bringing the half and full marathon races to New York City during his tenure as Deputy Mayor of Economic Development and Rebuilding under Mayor Bloomberg. Now, as Dan himself is living with ALS, we’re proud to be a charity partner of the marathon program, raising awareness and funds for ALS research to realize a world where Everyone Lives.

Target ALS accelerates research to discover effective treatments for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a neurodegenerative disease. ALS is characterized by progressive and irreversible loss of muscle strength, eventually leading to paralysis and death, typically within 3-5 years of diagnosis.

If you have already secured entry into the marathon through the general lottery, a qualifying time, or another method, we would be honored to have you run independently in support of Target ALS. Please email Christine Aranyos Prouty at christine.ap@targetals.org to learn more.
